  1. Not really sure what to think of Almeida, he was the best domestique for pogi in 2024 TdF, last year he crashed unfortunately, but since then idk his form is really not that good.
Each time again and again he gets dropped so early, not that he has a single bad day or so but today was basically the first mountain stage and he lost what 25min or so.

Hope he will find his form again

  2. yea, people will obviously complain about pog winning getting stale, but if nobody ever cooperates to bring him down and play for 2nd place, he's not gonna wait, now, is he ?

  3. I'm surprised you don't mention Tadej's nose wipe. Anytime he does the infamous nose wipe, that signals the beginning of his monster time trial mode.

  4. In a professional sport, where only the best of the best make it to a top team and ride such races like the grand tours, we have:

A guy who makes everyone else look like complete amateurs in climbs, by far the best climber ever. Except he's built like a classics specialist.

A guy who, while being the best climber ever, has some serious sprinting capabilities, which should be impossible if he's maxing out the aerobic performance.

A guy who, while being the best climber ever while being a decent sprinter still has the lactic capacities to stay with the beasts of classics like MVDP and WvA on terrain like Roubaix and seriously challenge them for victory, while ridiculing them in Flandres.

A guy who's never tired, barely brakes a sweat while shattering every single record and beating the next best guy by ridiculous margins, a guy who's never out of shape who doesn't need to time the peak of his form, dominating everything from Milan – San Remo till the World Championships.

A guy like that in the dirtiest sport in the history of sports, tied to a oil money team with unlimited funding, ties with UCI and dirty doctors of the sport's dirty past.

A clean rider, obviously, just like Armweak.

  5. Tadej confirms his status as the GOAT, but his team don't look strong, and the other GC riders will have taken note of that. It will be an interesting tour without the strongest team around him.

  6. Of course I would prefer a contested GC, but the race isn't over. Nothing is guaranteed in a 3 week grand tour. And we still have 2 more GC podium positions, stage wins, green jersey, KoM jersey, white jersey, and team classification. And in the tour we got to see some things you don't usually see – like the GC winner playing domestique for his teammate and taking a final pull to set up MVDP for the win in Paris. Plus you may as well enjoy the spectactle that is Tadej Pogacar while it lasts since you'll likely never see anything like it again in your lifetime.
