From the euphoria of the team time trial in Barcelona to the harsh reality of the crash: Team Visma | Lease a Bike’s new documentary about the 2026 Tour de France takes you behind the scenes of a race filled with ambition, setbacks and resilience.
The Tour de France started with big ambitions for Team Visma | Lease a Bike. With Jonas Vingegaard as team leader, the team travelled to France with one clear goal: to win the Tour. The documentary shows how the team prepared for that goal for months and how the first days of the Tour immediately brought confidence, energy and joy. With the victory in the team time trial in Barcelona, months of preparation reached their first major climax. In impressive fashion and according to plan, the team won the opening stage of the Tour de France.
But the Tour also has another side. In stage 15, the day that had been marked in red on the calendar for months, Jonas Vingegaard crashed. In an instant, everything changed. The documentary captures how the team dealt with that setback up close, how riders and staff had to regroup, and how ambitions changed when their team leader was forced to leave the Tour.
At the same time, the documentary tells several personal stories. We follow Bruno Armirail during a special Tour de France, as the Frenchman races through his home region. His personal connection to the area adds another dimension to the race, taking him literally through his own village, with a view of his own house.
But above all, Plans Rewritten offers a glimpse into places you normally never get to see. There is very little race footage; instead, the focus is on the moments that take place behind the scenes. Personal conversations on the team bus, during massages and at crucial moments in the race. Meetings where decisions are made, emotions that normally remain out of sight, and conversations between riders, team management and staff.
From the first victory and the dream of winning the Tour to Jonas’ crash and the team’s resilience, Plans Rewritten shows the Tour de France as you have rarely seen it before. Not by showing once again what happened on the road, but by taking you behind the scenes to see what was happening away from the race.
Watch Plans Rewritten and experience Team Visma | Lease a Bike’s Tour de France from the inside.

That is so well and emotional done. You can feel the team power and professional mental support from the helpers. Otherwise you could have not rewritten the story.
For Jonas and Wout I hope the best and that we see you racing again soon.
Take your time. You do it because you guys believe in yourself! 🙌🏼
I really like to watch at this video but as last year every 5 minutes 2 commercials is too much. I stopped watching
Really unfortunate for Matteo that no one paid to have that nose hair edited out. I know budgets are tight after transfer season but help a brother out.
Absolute CINEMA! Great documentary, very emotional!
I really like Davide Piganzoli, what a cool guy and what a performance he is showing in 2026. Such a strong addition to the team!
what. a. team.
Keep the faith Bees, better days ahead, and THANK YOU for this tour ❤❤❤❤❤
Did Jonas really say he thought he could have won ? Gosh, out of respect, Pog didn’t ride a way on stage 15, there’s a difference between aspirational and delusional 😂
Very nice film, but the frequency of commercials is in sane
Best wishes from Brazil!
love u beeeeeees
Mi sono innamorata del ciclismo grazie ai calabroni, che, grazie al loro spirito di gruppo, mi emozionano. Che team! Tanta tristezza per la caduta del nostro Jonas….chissà che cosa sarebbe accaduto in quella tappa? Forza 🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝
Great documentary thanks
High speed 110 degree turn onto a narrow road. Team should have been given a heads-up.
We believe in this team❤
So sad for Jonas, so sad for Kuss, but the fighting spirit is there. Nice consolation with combativity award for Kuss. He gave it all
These vids are really well done, such a great look behind the scenes. And Sepp with that positive attitude after what happened. He did his best, that's all you can do
Really proud of the boys this Tour. Great video, we got to see more of the team’s personalities and love them all. We’ll get them next year!
best team. love them all. Seppy though. I live where he went to college and rode these mountains
Forever rooting for this team!!! ❤❤❤
Was so bummed that Jonas crashed but hopefully he is recovering well.
Still a great tour
Visma and Jonas need to find a way to beat the UAE team. I really need to see Jonas win the tour once again.
Sepp's crash was even more heartbreaking than Jonas. Just glad he survived it after how close of a call it was.
Two big crashes in about 3 years, especially in your best time… I know you are really the best. No one else. I am sure this happens for a reason.
Thank you for making this film! ❤
But your team lost, So what do you learn from this!!!! Your bikes suck and your team sucks!!!
Very very Good!
Sepp should have won that final mountain stage so heartbreaking he was clearly stronger than Carapaz at that stage, but just couldn't control his bike.
Yes Sepp, they only had 1 on TV, but the internet got both crashes… internet always wins.. 😂
Rare that a team this well-funded is so likeable. Jonas, Sepp, Mateo… the whole team is amazing.
This was such an emotional video to watch. I cried a few times. It just broke my heart and lifted my spirit for the team.. no way to go but Up! We know next year TDF will be blissful for Visma
