Got to start picking up points otherwise he could be looking over his shoulder
He has got a massive, massive challenge on his hands to turn recent form around and get them moving in the right direction. Get back to basics and build from there. Cut out the defensive ricks, bolster up the midfield and carry more of an attacking threat, making more use of the pace in the squad. We look best when we get the ball down and pass. Let's get that belief back that we can hurt teams and snuff out their threat at the same time. Let's get that impetus back into the season.
We've gone 8 games without a win, have scored just 3 goals from open play in 8 games and our defence has been really sloppy in recent games.
Cheltenham finally scored in their last league game and got a morale-boosting draw against Derby.
I'm surprised the bookies make us clear favourites to win, especially as they usually think home sides have an advantage.
These are two poor sides and it's just a question of who will be the least-bad side on the day.
You'd like to think we'll be able to come away with a 0-0 draw but I can just picture us making another howler in defence and losing 1-0.

Just go to.the games for the beers guys nothing is going to change. Kevin betsy did crap at every team hes been at. There spoon fed players. Mark a nice guy and manager and its not alsays good to be a nice manager when youve got players who have to play thdre besy every game to cope with league one football. Just chill and go for the beers. Hes going to play 1 upfront. Even if we win against Cheltenham. Well need 2 attrackers against pompey but were still getting a hiding. Get gary in from milwall in as your assistant a guy with more experience. Simple football mark. 4-4-2 if not flat play wingers and keep 2 midfielders back to help our defence. Play a holding 4-4-2 and work on the counter attack. Press at the right time. Do not go all out attack because youll be punished to easy. Create a balanced formation and stop changing it. Play the samee against every team. Hes making it sound like you need to play different agaisnt different teams. Play the way the players knows best and keep it that…. lets go
Gary Rowatt is available now he’s left Millwall, the board ought to be speaking to him because, if we don’t get 6 points from Cheltenham and Carlisle, there needs to be a change, Kennedy has gone from Lincoln after a run of 6 games without a win, Bonner surely on borrowed time as this season, at this stage, looks similar to the same stage last season
Well let's face facts,the us are playing a side who haven't won in the league this season, as we fans know united are traditionally a charitable club and ,over to give helping hands and points to lower clubs, so on Saturday I predict Cheltenham will get their first league win and poor old Mr Bonner will again have egg on his face due to 'the process ' down the slippery pole again 😢 at least we don't have to far to fall
