I was on the lookout for a bike and someone was sweet enough to give me a Novara Carema 3FB for free. I believe it is a 2015 bike and it looks like she has been storing it outside. The leather seat is cracked and the handlebars are cracked and I’m not really sure how bad the other parts are, it looks like the chain is rusted. I need to give it a bit of a wash.
Is it worth my money to fix this bike, or should I just get a new(er) bike? I sort of want to start cycling relatively soon. I’m not looking to be a super athlete or anything like that, I just live in a really nice place where I would like to get outside and get some movement in. I’m not even sure if this bike would be a good fit for me, geometry wise, whatever that means.
TIA!!

I’d say treat yourself with a new bike
A free bike is a great bike. Replace the saddle, lube the chain, see if it’s a good fit for you. If so, send it
You can degrease the chain and lube it up again. And try it out, if it doesn’t fit you can sell it. And buy a different one.
