Bought this on Facebook. It seems like maybe it was repainted and has like re-manufactured decals. I wonder because it has a hoop thing in the back for a cantilever brake setup that I’m not sure other ones have? Curious if it’s legit rockhopper from 89. Thanks!

Could it maybe be a different year rockhopper just painted to look like an 89?
Um I got a 88 hanging in my garage. U want me to send u a pic or check something on it? It’s not a comp. It has the u brake so I’m not sure if it has that v brake braze on.
