For decades, a mysterious bicycle was displayed among the memorabilia of Rangers Football Club. The story most commonly told was that it arrived from Saint-Étienne during Rangers’ European Cup clash with the French giants in 1975.
But there was a problem.
Some Rangers supporters remembered seeing a bicycle inside Ibrox years before that — with one account placing it in the Trophy Room as far back as 1966.
