No official video footage of the actual collision has been released or broadcast.The tragic accident occurred on Friday, 14 August 2026, during the eighth stage of the Volta a Portugal. The 19-year-old British cyclist, Finlay Tarling, was killed when a vehicle not associated with the race entered the course in the wrong direction and hit him head-on.
