More speed, more rotation. Higher hop/faster pull. Make sure head is looking where you want to go.

  2. You have it. Hang your butt over the back tire a little more and keep trying. If you haven’t yet learned how to come out of fakie you can easier learn by riding up to a wall, ledge , car tire etc….. then shifting your weight backwards. This will teach you to return out of fakie. Ask away if you have questions.

  3. I think you are already there, can you do fakies and also able to exit out of them? If you got fakies dialed you can add a bit of speed to add to your momentum for the exit.

I’d say you’re carving quite a bit before you hop and it looks like it’s throwing all your weight to the side when you land and you’re only spinning about 90° in the air. Find a crack in the ground and try to 180 along side it. Should help you focus on the hop more so than the carve. It really doesn’t take all that much effort to get the bike around 180.

Also, a couple other little things that helped me… when turning your head look back and down instead of over your shoulder, think of it like you’re trying to look through your armpit. And when you get the rotation and you’re landing 180, remember to actively pedal backwards when you land. Sounds obvious, but I spent years just letting the pedals push my feet backwards, and it made life difficult before it finally clicked.

    Lead with your head.

Pick something easily visible, like a stop sign or basketball hoop. Ride away from it, then when you hop make your only goal turning your head and focusing on the object.

Hop, turn your head, your body will learn to make the bike follow.
