      The Lausanne-to-Yverdon section of this tour is part of a ride I do quite often from Solothurn to Lausanne (then with the train back home), although in the opposite direction. The little shop in the background at 2:50 is also one of my regular refueling stops too. There isn't much else till Lausanne from Yverdon.
      A little fun fact: If you take the short climb up to the water tower (Goumoëns-la-Ville) at 2:20 from the other side on a clear day, you'll see the snow-capped peak of Mont Blanc rising directly above the road between the banks to the fields on either side. It rises higher and higher as you reach the summit; it is a truly spectacular view.

      Small world eh, I sometimes think if you took your bike to the moon you'd bump into someone you know !! Great to see these riders making great efforts to help others less fortunate, re kindles your faith in people, and as for kindness to others, well it doesn't cost anything does it !? 😊😊

      Did you just call Yverdon a "beautiful little village" ? 😭 The difference in perspective is insane, it's the second biggest city in the canton, and it actually has the reputation of being ugly 😂

      When you said normal people like you and me.
      I struggled .
      Don't think i could getup that early.
      And I would be hoping to get in the top 20 of bike being pushed uphill.
      You met some outstanding people.

      One of the secret best things about cycling in swizerland is that most fountains are drinkingwater. As long as it doesn't say "kein Trinkwasser/not drinkingwater" you know the water gets tested regularly and is quality water. And almost every town has fountains (though at the moment lots are closed due to the drought). I only know of one town in my region that doesn't test the fountains for drinkwater quality…

      Hi Katie! Sadly, I know the chances of you seeing this comment are practically zero since the video was posted one day ago. But nothing ventured, nothing gained. When your said you were in Switzerland for the TdF Femmes, it made me think of this idea because this women cyclist lives in Lucerne, Switzerland. Wouldn't it be awesome if you and Demi Vollering could get together for a coffee ride in Lucerne and discuss all things women cycling as a way to promote the sport. I'M SERIOUS. The woman with a FANTASTIC YouTube cycling channel and the world's best woman road cyclist, together, promoting the sport they both love. IT WOULD BE HISTORICAL! IT WOULD BE AWESOME! And it would be GREAT FOR WOMAN'S CYCLING. OK, that's my idea that you'll probably never see. 🥲
