When I pedal I can hear the chain rubbing sound rhythmically for 1 sec then comes back in about 1-2 secs.
50-30 and 50-27 make longer and louder rubs.
I had an LBS install a new 50-34 chainring and a new chain. Shifting from 34 to 50 felt effortful and was prone to inward chain dropping. I took the bike back to them and they adjusted the front derailleur.

What happens when you drop the derailleur one position?
Look up “derailleur trimming”. If you’re derailleur is adjusted correctly you still might need to trim for different chainlines.
When you’re getting close to big-big it’s usually better to shift the front anyway.
