Hi Everyone! I recently picked up a new Aeroad and want to swap the saddle. The new saddle has 7x9mm rails, but my bike's stock SP0077 seatpost came with the round-rail clamp (EP2352-01). Canyon's official oval rail adapter, GP7453-01, isn't available until October in the US, and other regions show similar restock timing.
Digging into the parts diagram, the GP7453-01 kit appears to just swap the outer clamp jaws for EP2351-01 (vs. the stock round-rail EP2352-01). Everything else in the kit (spring, spacer, bolts) looks identical to what's already installed.
Has anyone installed an oval rail saddle on a 2025+ Aeroad with the SP0077 post without waiting on Canyon's adapter kit? Specifically wondering if:
- EP2351-01 is available as a standalone part anywhere, or
- Anyone's found an aftermarket/generic jaw that works

I ordered one when I ordered my bike, along with a spare derailleur hanger just in case. FedEx lost the package and canyon just refunded me. I just kept the salle italia seat on the canyon and put the fancy fizik saddle on my trainer bike when I was able to order the part for my scott trainer bike. The saddle that came with the canyon is pretty comfortable – haven’t changed it in the couple of years I’ve had the bike and my trainer is now very comfortable.
