Hi there! I am from Canada and I am taking driving lessons here in the UK. My driving instructor is very good, no problem here. I have been driving for 30 years in Canada so I know how to drive but I need polishing as my instructor would say. I just watched this video and I will be starting using the trick of talking out loud about everything I do while driving and hope it will help me to settle in new habits. My main problem is looking in the mirror. To me, it feels like I am looking in the mirrors more than in front of me. Would you have a trick to help me look in the mirrors at the right time and when appropriate? I just found your channel so if you have a video that talks about it, could you direct me to it please? You failed to mention that every time you do stop you need to check your blind spot that's one of the main reasons to keep the car rolling

I haven't heard about anyone going over a speed limit for a second and getting major fault but I've seen dozens of fails for slow driving and hesitation.
Speed limit is dangerous if you consistently cruise over it.
Somes drive test are for sure the enemies

You mentioned No stopping game But my question here is “ If we slow down from a far away before a signal, Will that be counted as too slow?”
will i not sound annoying saying everything im gonna do? will it lead to a fault??
I just passed today in the Chippenham test centre using the commentary method. I even had a potential major downscaled to a minor and the examiner expressed that he was happy with my thought process due to the commentary and I believe I won him over using this method. Thank you so much!
My Fat Dumb examiner behaved exactly like my SWORN ENEMY by making me more nervous !! He doesn't deserve to be an examiner.

7:00. That crawling along up to the traffic lights at time makes my piss boil. It very common in US where a vehicle in front coming to traffic lights alows down to 1 mph about 10 car lengths behind. I have to slow down which burns up more fuel.

One question on the test you go over the speed limit a little bit but you notice very quickly and slow to the right speed safety do you get a minor each time

Ok sitting in with a pal’s daughter preparing for test in Glasgow, I’m a retired commercial driver so the non stopping is very much a part of my driving and it goes a massive way into smoothing out anybody’s driving, look ahead as far as you can see and adjust your speed to suit what you’re looking at, it’s really simple actually.
Here is a question about lane position and road condition.
In Glasgow like most places in the UK now a hell of a lot of broken road surface and some really hefty potholes, do you advise trying to avoid the potholes or do you advise maintaining a relatively straight course even though that may take you through potholes.
Or alternatively if you slowed down because there some particularly bad potholes would that be a minor a fail?
In my mind for me I’m protecting the car by avoiding the potholes and I’m using my mirrors to not confuse people around me but I would like to how instructors and examiners deal with potholes Thanks

Just want to thank you for your video, it really helped me to be calm and shift my mindset in the exams, which reduced my anxiety a lot during the test and helped to to Pass. Really, thank you.
I failed because I went through a amber light… so I did a burnout and kicked them out in the smoke 😂 only joking but would of been fun, I started talking about how busy the traffic was and things because I was nervous and he said in the queens 'can you concentrate on the road please' it was awkward the rest of the test anyway I passed that test 😂 third time lucky

The examiner is not your enemy.
I played the no stopping game not really by choice but by necessity because the first car I used had a horrific clutch so it would be better to avoid a full stop at all costs. A 2006 Renault Clio.
Got rid of it and am driving a 2008 Vauxhall Corsa, night and day difference. If you want to get really good at clutch control, buy a car with a bad clutch and start the car uphill, very thin margin of error between stalling and starting your car.
