Day 5 of our Pedal Britain & Europe Portugal North to South cycling tour took us from Seia to Serra da Estrela, a truly scenic ride. This part of the bike trip was filled with winding mountain roads and incredible views, making for a memorable adventure cycling experience Iincluding an option to climb mainland Portugal’s highest peak at the end of the day.
In September 2025 I joined a group of friends on the Pedal Britain & Europe Portugal North to South cycling tour taking us from the Paradela Dam on the Northern Spanish border and down to Tavira on the Algarve over 11 days.
It was full of surprises flying in the face of most people’s idea of what visiting Portugal looks like
