  1. No it doesn’t look like it. A tubeless compatible rim will have bumps in the profile of the rim to keep the tyre firmly in place like in the middle profile below.

While you could add tubeless tape to the rim and try to run it tubeless, you will likely have issues with it seating and remaining seated/sealed at tubeless pressures.

Typically if something isn’t very proud of the fact it’s tubeless compatible, then it probably isn’t

  2. you will have to purchase a conversion kit unless the rim itself is tubeless ready, no idea based on those three photos alone whether it’s possible. Based on cursory observation, the rim tape is just a normal rim tape meant for inner tubes and the fact it came with tubeless ready tires is irrelevant.

It doesn’t look like it’s tubeless ready. While you can possibly set it up with tubeless tape, it’s not a good idea, especially on smaller tires with higher pressures. You run a higher risk of blowing the tire off on installation and while riding.

  4. Is this a Bontrager rim on a Trek bike? If so, you need a special insert. Please let me know if this is the case and I’ll tell you what to get and do.
