I feel like these XC dorks are what people think the rest of us are doing when we tell them we mountain bike. Like yall if you can’t drop the seat and handle that rock garden why aren’t you just road/gravel biking?

  2. It’s actually kind of interesting how xc riders come in two flavors, these sorts of cringe lords but then also the unironic extremely fast gigachads who don’t even blink as they hurl their 100mm fox 34 SL down a black rock garden

  3. I know some Xc guys that could win at dh, these ain’t them but Xc is won on the climbs

  4. Watching them put mountain biking back into XC is fun. People not being able to go off that drop is a serious face-palm territory but at the same time some of the rock gardens they’re putting on XC courses are kinda lowkey bonkers. So it’s like a gravel race with a UCI DH rock garden and then a 30cm drop. Lulz.

This is worse than watching road cyclists… Jesus Christ, guys. It’s a 1 foot drop. You can handle it.

These look like people who have never ridden a mountain bike before in their lives

MTB-ing for 30 years, and I still despise baby-head rock gardens. At 73, I’ll go around, thank you.

  8. I also think fatigue factors in here, when you’ve got jelly for arms and legs these features get much harder.
