Tbf, for a bike that is a couple hundred cheaper than an Estarli e20.7 it has a 10ah battery compared to a 7.2ah on the Estarli. I'm impressed. Though they shouldn't fool anyone, that's a Chinese frame, hardly "Scandinavian inspired".

Using the password protection and taking the battery and seat with you when leaving the bike unattended seem to be good features to make theft of the bike less likely.

Nice bike, however the ADO air models are about the same price with a belt drive?
I've just sold my electric bike, I now ride a Tern 20" folder. Just lighter to carry and when I go camping I don't need a tent with an electric hook up now.
Great review, shame it only get around 25 miles per battery charge.
Pretty much an ADO with a chain instead of a belt. Even got the same display and battery. The custom motor seems to be a bafang with their own name on it.
ADO rides fine so I am sure this will be similar. Just not much of a upgrade unfortunately.
Have you reviewed the Hygge Vester 2025 ?
I love the look and ethos of these bikes. I have asked their website which of the their bikes best suits a 6'7" person and it continually references me to the collection…. It appears that they only cater for up to 6'5" which appears to be normal in electric bikes.
I must have missed how much it was?
purchased a bike from hygge in may when it arrived the box was open and things were missing including the charger it took 2 weeks for them to send a new one when it arrived they hadn't paid the postage so i had to pay to get this they refused to refund this. here we are in september and still i'm waiting for the rest of the things i paid for. at this time hygge will not answer my emails to get this resolved. after 46 miles both front forks leak oil. avoid this company.

Load of crap 💩
Hub motors work better with small wheels as it has the effect of being lower geared. If the wheel is halved in diameter, then that doubles the effective force that the it the motor applies where the tyre touches the ground. A lot of hub motors in standard wheels can struggle on steep inclines as they have insufficient torque. They may be rated at 250W, but it will not generated that amount of power at really low speeds.
It would be great as part of each review to list out that bikes main rivals and how it compares. Currently each review feels like that specific bike is the only one of its kind (for example this bike would be in competition with the ado air 20 ultra, and the estrali how does it compare?)
I recently bought the Fiido X but it came down to Fiido X and the Hygge Virum. Ultimately went with Fiido as I wanted a torque sensor. Additionally, I didn’t like the cabling on the battery on the Hygge and the the fact that you have to put it in at the bottom. Still a great bike though.
Did I miss one important information? Cadence or torque sensor?
What about the power cable at the bottom of the battery, sticking out near the ground. Looks prone to damage ?

Mixed feelings on my dealings with this company. Overall the bike is pretty solid. I agree it’s a nippy little bike. I live in a hilly area and it climbs well. I’ve made lots of upgrades too.
That looks like a close copy of my Dahon MU8 apart from bring an e-bike.

£1200 ? From the way you described it I was thinking £800 max the ado is much better quality and if around the same price.
