The south of England is in a drought and it shows very clearly in this video. Everywhere looks so brown where it should be green. Waddesdon Greenway is due to close opn August 10th until September 4th so that the new alignment can be finished and then opened for public use again. I’m looking forward to trying it out!

Super update Karl – thanks for taking the time to film it and share it! The contrast between the greenery of the drone footage from June and now at the beginning of August is very apparent. It's also very apparent that there are new heaps of fill material that have been delivered to site at various locations. I assume they must have been delivered by train using the temporary Quainton railhead. Approach embankments still to be completed on each side for Putlowes Accommodation bridge. The dryness of the countryside and brown colour of everything due to the heatwaves that we've had, remind me a little of the south of France. Although, right now some parts of the south of France are more than brown and have suffered terribly with wildfires. Keep up the good work Karl.
Just got home after cycling down the Greenway. I’m glad they’re finally realigning the Greenway but I won’t be able to cycle to work for the duration, I will not cycle the A41.

I follow here and some other guys on YouTube. But in the most videos I see barely where or how they put in all the necessary service lines ( sewer and power / internet )? Maybe they do it when they build the track line?
Wow, everything looks so dull, orange and dead. It was raining in my area a few days ago, and I was so happy, which is odd. Usually I hate the rain.

I did giggle over the skedule/shedule thing as it was a pet hate of my dad's. So it evoked a memory from my distant past. As I could never remember which way was correct, he gave me this simple way to recall it: Englishmen are fond of their sheds.
Looking forward to learning about the Greenway as it post-dates my time in Aylesbury. Until the end of today's video, I didn't even know there was a link between Vale Parkway and Putlowes Drive!
