I bought my first (used) Brompton. Found it on a second hand website, drove an hour to see it and bought it. It seems in very good condition, although I have since learned it's from 1998. So far I am very happy. I have ordered the retrofit kit to latch the rear triangle. Back in 1998 they didn't have this feature.

The vegetable crate isn't the permanent solution. I have ordered a front mount block and bag to do my shopping.

That looks very nice, hope the teeth on the chainring and sprocket aren’t to pointy,

Just so you are aware Open Clevis Levers: Pre-2009 older plastic levers (10-degree or 30-degree models with serial numbers 0808XXXXXX or lower) feature an open slot design, this won’t hold a modern day brake cable, and the orginal brompton cables are no longer sold.

It will work with the old cable it It hasn’t been updated
