Bought a set of Schwalbe Smart Sam’s a few weeks back from a UK cycle shop on eBay, I have roughly 60 miles on them and already my side lugs are starting to eject themselves. I’ve only been riding gentle fire roads to aid my fitness and get me back into riding after an injury put me out years ago, you can see they’ve had little use. Each tyre has a handful of side knobs that have damage.
I’m going to message the shop via eBay to see what they say but I’m not holding much hope, should I bin these and use another brand or is there anything I can use to “stick” these back on and hope for the best?

If the tires have been sitting around for awhile this can happen. Specialized tires are particularly bad in this regard. I’ve gotten away from stocking up on too many tires during a good sale as I find the ones that sit in the closet, even inside the air conditioning, tend to do this quickly if they’ve been sitting for a year or two.
Was this bought from the same shop I saw in another post recently, Galaxus ? It’s the same tire and they were sold extremely old stock (10+ years old), so the rubber was rotted.
If you bought them recently I would contact the seller, if you’ve got a good amount of miles on them then it’s time to replace. You can’t reattach the knobs, unfortunately.
I’d be really surprised if the eBay “shop” you bought them from even replies.
This is the 2nd post I’ve seen about the knobs falling off Schwalbe tires recently.
have you check the made year stamp on the tires? this tire must storage for years. you can try the glue, it’s the knobs on the side, maybe it’s fine.
