I'm having trouble with this ltwoo gr7 with a 38t front chain ring and an 11-50t rear Strong cassette. It shifts fine on the stand and when riding but in the smallest 3 cogs or so it feels like the chain is loose/stutters and it has ghost shifted once or twice when going up hill in smaller cogs. I sized it with an online chain calculator but it seems like I may have too much slack in small/small.

from what i can see online you are within spec for that derailleur. can you post the gap between the upper jockey wheel and the cassette in the big cog?
Looks like your derailleur is installed improperly. It should rest about 45 degrees further clockwise. The B screw will rest on the “ledge” or “tooth” of the hanger
How did Ltwoo’s instructions tell you to size the chain?
Check if your derailleur cage has markings on where to set the largest ring. I was surprised to find it after viewing online tips and guides that have it completely wrong and generic.

There is a tab on the derailleur mounting that needs to be behind the matching tab on the derailleur hanger on the frame. Start with that. See the video at 0:36.

Don’t forget to use a “five milliters hex key” and tighten it to… no torque spec given.
Your initial setup should be done with the B screw all the way out. Your process should be:
1. Low limit travel screw
2. High limit travel screw
3. Attach cable and adjust indexing
4. B screw in first gear (as bodydisplaynone mentioned below). Should be a few millimeters of space in there, especially on something with a gigundo first gear.
