Hi bikepackers, I’m looking to downsize my panniers to something more compact and with a more off-road-friendly mounting system than my ortlieb back rollers. I’m seeing some options that are designed to mount with voile straps (the [roadrunner](https://roadrunnerbags.us/collections/bike-packing-bags/products/bikepacking-pannier?variant=43945898180862) pannier looks particularly interesting to me).

But there aren’t a lot of reviews! Does anyone have experience with panniers that attach to a rack with voile straps? I’m afraid it would be really finicky, or that the ends might get in the spokes. Or maybe you get the hang of it and it’s great. Thanks!

  1. Old Man Mountain Ponderosa Panniers are specifically made for Bikepacking and have a great compression system and cammed velcro strap attachment.
