It is in the ballpark of a reasonable price, I would see if you can get the down some. Closer to 750 would be better.

Nice bike but I’d offer them 500 to see how much wiggle room there is. Rim brake bikes aren’t really sought after second hand for a few different reasons. You’ll have no problem finding a modern aluminum bike with disc brakes in your price range if you’re willing to look.
