Devon to Tuscany: Part 8 — Carcassonne to Aix-en-Provence 🏍️🦩
Back on the bike today as Rich and Sue leave Carcassonne behind, riding the Honda GB350S through miles of flat, open roads and tree-lined avenues. The highlight of the day was crossing the Camargue, where we spotted flocks of flamingos dotted across the wetlands.
It was a long, hot ride, but well worth it — we rounded off the day with dinner and ice cream in a stunning town square before checking into the Aquabella Hotel and Spa for a well-earned rest.
Tomorrow’s a big one: we cross the border into Italy, riding through Cannes, Nice, and Monaco along the way!

Ahhh we missed that, so many beautiful places. We’re in Lucca now the Certaldo tomorrow. We had an incredible circular route today in the hills.
