I did a variant of the Slovenia West Loop bikepacking trip from Bikepacking.com, with the Soča variant and modified the south part to end at the seaside. Greatest bikepacking trip I ever did and we're pretty proud of our gear after figuring it out on several trips we ended with a near perfect setup.

Nice one! I am often near the austrian / slovenian border. I’ve done some nice day trips in that area which is also very hilly, but no major mountains. I am interested in doing multi day trips around here, and this one looks kind of amazing.
Do you need camping gear, or is it possible to stay in local b&bs?
When given the choice, would you do it again with a gravel bike, or opt for a MTB for this route?
