Hello and welcome 🍁 This episode continues directly after my relaxing visit to Göttingen as I spend 24 hours exploring Hannover, one of Germany’s most underrated cities.
For just 37€, I stayed in the unique BoxHotel Hannover, rented a DB Call a Bike during the summer promotion, cycled around the beautiful Maschsee, explored the historic Old Town, visited Linden, Aegidienkirche, and enjoyed two excellent burgers along the way.
Along the ride, I also reflect on why I love cycling in Germany, how life has changed since leaving the Royal Canadian Navy, and why I’ve learned that good health and happiness are worth far more than chasing a bigger salary.
