Has anyone tried the cheap Amazon carbon aero bars yet? Lots of this stuff is garbage and they want $50. Hoping for some IRL experience from this group.

I have not tried these specifically, but I did get a no name carbon mountain bike handlebar once and it failed just bunny hopping on the pavement. The difference between junk and quality carbon fiber is often much greater than the difference between junk and quality aluminum or steel. Please just save up some more money or look for something secondhand, if these fail on you while you’re in the airo position in a sprint, there’s a very good chance you’ll get seriously injured, and maybe cause others to be injured as well.
