Race leader Sepp Kuss crashed twice on the final descent of Stage 20 of the Tour de France 2026 and was inches from a very scary outcome on the second one.
At the same time, Richard Carapaz flew past him with just over 5 kilometers remaining and rode to victory for the second time in three days, while Kuss finished third, 31 seconds back.
Remco Evenepoel surged into second place, 26 seconds behind Carapaz, who also leads the Mountains Classification.

I don’t think it was the net that saved him. It was the fact that he held on to his bike with two hands as leverage. You can see that the net wasn't even touched.

I guess both incidents are connected….he probably lost focus after the first one, or at least his brakes had suffered..anyway we and he can be happy he is still with us
That's not much of a wall for the protection of car drivers either. That net probably saved Sepp's life.
