I think that you need to replace the term “hardest” with most dangerous. There are plenty of sports that could be the hardest but each and everyone is nuanced in a way that one broad term doesn’t account for.
Okay I like that idea but you have to think how insanely far people have pushed freeski like the only possible way to make it in the sport is if you’ve been skiing since three and can 1080 by 11
Bmx is definitely not harder than skateboarding sorry. I rode bmx for years but something changed in me first time i rode a skateboard. That change led to skating for 22yrs starting in the mid 90s, ended up getting sponsored by a local shop in the uk and grom with vans uk. Skating was alot freaking harder to not only learn but also maintain the level. Ended up having to stop cause one too many ankle breaks led to my ankles just giving out completely after an even 3ft drop. Body just couldnt anymore. It was an amazing time of my life while it lasted though
Alright let's get this straight i mostly skateboard i love it i do it for hours everyday i used to scooter with my cousin and I recently got into bmx so far what I can say is there all easy in some aspects and really hard in others there all difficult to master and get good at there is no one that better or worse it's all personal opinion
BMX +Often easier to learn how to ride. +Having the handlebars(&Brakes if equipped),gives you more control. +Can be practiced and done on more terrains than a skateboard.
-More physically demanding. -Parts cost relatively more -If you bail or fail, the bike can and often does"follow"you.
Skateboarding +More inexpensive than a BMX(The same goes for parts…In most cases anyway.) +Less Maintenance +More compact +Easier to bail during a trick.
-Higher learning curve to learning how to ride. -More technical(Also harder to master) -Limitation of what terrain you can skate on. -Requires greater balance. -Decks can break much easier than a BMX frame.
Its a general statement,I know. However I've done both and while they have their differences.Their both "Extreme Sports",that require certain strengths and skills along with time to become proficient in.
I feel like theres something lost when people discuss whether action sports are "harder" than one another. Like, theres differences in learning curves and skill floors, but at the end of the day the limits of the sport are the limits of the human body. You don't "win" at skateboarding or at bmx, and that means difficulty is entirely self-imposed. The hardest stuff on a bike is going to look different than the hardest stuff on a board.
Bmx is easier to learn to ride but doing tricks is definitely harder. The only tricks you can really compare are spins like 180s and 360s which is definitely easier on a skateboard. I’d say manuals are also easier on a skateboard but I also ride without brakes. But even a simple bar spin needs lots of commitment and you also need ramps to do most tricks on a bmx. With a skate board you can learn every flip trick on flat ground. In my area all the bmx guys know zero tricks other than 180s and fakies cause there’s no parks around here other than a couple small skateparks which most skaters don’t even allow bmxers to use😂😂
Bmx is easier to ride, harder to learn, skating is harder to ride easier to learn tricks when you get comfortable on a board tho, as long as you keep it up you won’t loose tricks on a skateboard, but if you don’t keep up it will be harder to ride a board then bmx

All equal in the end, starting out is where they all vary
Skateboarding 🛹 and BMX are both very hard sports.

This is a ridiculous take. Skateboarding is 100x harder than BMX. BMX is down there with Scooters
I don't understand why we can't get along we both do artistic original tricks no other sport allows yo to do this.😊
The quad backflip only happened once
Skateboarding is harder by far
Actually, skateboard difficult than bmx

From a BMX rider. It's generally "easier" to bail off a skateboard but other than that they're completely different skill sets.
Downhill mtb is easy skateboarding is hardest
