This was in San Francisco and was a leg in the 1986 Coor's Classic bike race. Lemond is #7. This was in early August and very soon after his 1986 win at the Tour De France. I was at the race with my dad, who took the photos. Sorry, I know they aren't professional quality, but I think they capture the vibe of the race. The one where he is taking a corner is from the time trial race the day before.

Outstanding. I too was there and especially recall the course sending riders through a warehouse on one of the piers. Thanks for posting.
This is so cool. I rode my bike through there on the way home one day and thought to myself “Man this would be the perfect place for a crit”. Had no idea.
Very cool pics from back in the 35mm cam days, nice work. I have a La Vie Claire black and white team poster from those days with Bernard Hinault. Back in the late- 90’s, I met GL at a bike shop event in CO (Wheatridge Cycles-still open!) and he signed the photo: “Those were the days, Greg LeMond”.
The decline of US road racing is so tragic
Best jersey I ever owned! La Vie Claire. I loved it and wore it out!
Those are great. I’ll have to dig up some photos I took at the 1996 Olympics road race and TT.
