We took on one of the new bikepacking routes in the UK over the Easter weekend.
Rebellion way is not too challenging and can be done in 2-3 days, but we decided to split it over 3 nights to take a more relaxed approach, loads of photos and enjoy some of the places at their fullest.
We loved the quaint villages, seaside towns and all the historical landmarks dotted around the route, with the only downside at the last night where our tent waterproof layer failed and we got rain in the tent, having to cut short the last night due to a flooded tent and an early start.
We recommend starting either at King’s Lynn or Norwich and riding the route anti-clockwise, but you won’t find a challenge either way.
We feel that leaving Thetford and King’s Lynn last is nicer so you end with an high.
There are more inhabited areas at the beginning, so you can stock up on food and leave the last day for Thetford and Diss. I would avoid Diss to Norwich as not that interesting!
The wind is also a big part in the choice of either clockwise or anti-clockwise direction.
One thing to note is that the few climbs are going to happen later in the trip if you go anti-clockwise.

I rode the pedders way from Thetford to the coast and back. In 2022. The trailer brings back good memories
Thanks for watching as always, hope you liked this route and are inspired to take on it if you haven't already 😀
Brings back lovely memories. I tried it in October and started in Norwich but pulled a muscle in my back and had to stop at Thetford. I'll be back when it warms up. Why do you recommend anti-clockwise?
A good video, it looks like you didn’t; pop your head through the woods at holkham to see the beach. That is absolutely worth it, the sheer size of it is incredible.
