Have you seen the pot holes 🕳️🕳️🕳️ in the rest of the city there's great lumps of tarmac missing on my road and nothing being done to sort it out and when they eventually decide to fill the holes 🕳️ up a bucket full of tarmac surfices and a few wacks with a shovel and finished off with a jump up and down on it with the boots ! It's an absolute disgrace I feel like I'm driving around Beruit, the size of some of the craters ! How many people will use the cycle lanes because Sheffield is built on 7 hills and the amount of money it's costing , I hope they have conducted enough surveys to justify the amount of money it's costing ! Or will it be another waste of tax payers money ! Like the ridiculous bottle neck Dutch roundabout, near the crown court that takes a full hour to get through when it's backed up west bar ! And when you come out of the crown court car park you can't join the traffic to turn right,you have to go up the road around the Dutch roundabout and back down to join the traffic exiting the city , what a stupid idea that is !! 😮
All that disruption for a cycle lane and 20mph limit? Jesus Christ🤬🤬
As councils have a legal obligation under the Local Government Act 1999 to provide "best value" for their residents, can one assume then that the council undertook feasibility studies and impact assessments into the viability for installing these lanes for cyclists, along with all the extra disruption and inconvenience to fee paying road users, because if there can be shown there is no real need for cycle lanes once open and, say, in 1-2 year's time, will they restore the roads?
Councils have certainly shown their real loyalties since 2019
It's going to cause major disruption at peak times traffic goimg through in the morning and out towards Tinsley instead of parkway is high volume and this will impact bus services going through .
Another idiotic idea by the council yet again .
