However this Ebike IS… AMAZING for £523 – Fafrees Hailong One Review

I was expecting the Fafrees Hailong One to be a terrible Electric bike. For around £500 surely it couldn’t be that good. And definitely not as good as that reviewer would have us believe. But this isn’t about advancements of electric bikes. Or such a good ebike that I forget about everything else (what does that even mean?). But for £523 it’s a bloody good ebike.

  1. Just received this bike today and wow its fab. The gears needed some adjustment and i found the charger is getting extremely hot so Im going to let them know and see what they say. Apart from that the bike has great power.

  2. Hi Alex just wondering are you selling this bike in the future.
I've bought the bowel t16 of you last year.
    But this looks good.
Will be interested when you are thinking of selling.
    Cheers Mark.

  3. I bought a Hailong one
    So far, so good
Would I ever deal with this Chinese company again ……….. ABSOLUTELY NOT
    A very long story shortened
Ebike-wise, I was lucky, I bought an upgraded display that has app ability for 70 euros.
There was nothing on the website, it was not for version one, even listed as Hailong one
To say it has been a very drawn-out trip to get any money back is an understatement.
Had an offer to keep the one they sent with a small refund
Went through paypal dispute, got a refund minus the £12.50 p&p charges I had to pay
Did I say will I ever deal with this Chinese company that has a dept in Ireland and a warehouse in Poland ………………… Will I bugger!
    Hence, PayPal accounts were cancelled

  4. I would happily pay this for an ebike but I have no faith in the manufacturer providing spares and repair services going forward. This is the current situation with many of the Chinese scooters and motorcycles in the UK.
Unfortunately at the moment the well-known and long established brands are still far too expensive.

  5. I have a bike similar to this and it's been really good. I do 16 miles a day to work and back and I live in a hilly area. It's perfectlly good for what I need it for and I paid £430.

  6. 20mph on an Ebike while peddling… 30mph down hill?? 🤔 I can easily peddle 20mph on my none Ebike, I've clocked 27mph peddling hard on flat road, though i generally ride around 15/20mph.

  7. Good bike, and the thing is, because its built as a normal mountain bike, you can upgrade the components as you go along, better saddle, that sort of thing.. Yeah, really good

  8. I HAVE 1 OF THOSE ELECTRIC BIKES HAS ONLY 300 MILES ON IT
ITS GIVEN ME NO TROUBLE UNTIL NOW I LOOKED AFTER IT WELL
THERS A KNOCK F THE BACK WHEEL ANYONE GOT A VIDEO OF THE BACK WHEEL BEING BACK ONTO THE BIKE AND WHERE THE WASHERS GO INTO THE RIGHT POSITION IT COST ME 740 euros .

  9. It is refreshing, a review that is consedering the low price! 👍
People think they can get a super duper bike for under 2500 £/ € 🤣
I donot have this bike YET, i got a streetbike 26 Pro, riders complain about brakes, then they should try the old rimbrakes! LOL
Sorry about my bad English im from 🇫🇮

  10. ok ive just bought this bike direct for under £470 using

e-VRC link and entering SPRING10 and got a discount this is my 1st e bike adventure

  11. 20mph is a good speed for any full size bike, my problem with E bikes is figuring out what bikes are going to be good on hills and still give me decent range. Because where I live hills are the problem with cycling in general, if I lived on flat ground I'd get an ordinary bike, but in my mid 50's hills are out of question, I'd spend most of my time pushing the bike up-hill, and very little time actually riding the bike.

  12. Got myself one and it's absolute gold had it over a year and never had a problem overall it's got a long range on peddle assist mode it looks fantastic it turns heads comes in different colours and the other thing is how easy it is to upgrade things everything apart from it being a ebike is standard mtb sizes so easy to fix parts are standard I have the orange & black the most impressive ebike I have ever owned it's taken everyday struggles of peddling to work to a pleasure ride to work & I see these cheap electric bikes as a genuine aid as you get older and can't drive. 👌💯💯💯💯💯

  13. Hello there!
I wanted to ask about how does the Fafrees Hailong One compares to the Eleglide M2?
I'm thinking about getting my first ebike, the Frafrees is available throguh Decathlon Marketplace, but can't get the Eleglide anywhere.
I've contacted with Eleglide EU support, and they replied that either the M2 or the Mopride 3 is sold out and won't be restocked.
