Andy Burnham has unveiled his new Cabinet after being sworn in as Prime Minister, marking a significant reshuffle following his appointment.

The former Greater Manchester Mayor and Makerfield MP had kept his selections close to his chest, with speculation continuing over key appointments including the chancellor position.

Several high-profile departures were confirmed, with Deputy Prime Minister David Lammy saying he would continue to support the Government “from the backbenches” and wishing Andy Burnham “every success”. Other notable exits include Business Secretary Peter Kyle, who was reportedly sacked, and several ministers who served under Sir Keir Starmer’s leadership.

  3. Get Burnham out just for picking the team he has! I got Sepsis twice last year through Streeting with the push of a button and cancelling all operations and appointments and saying he cleared it! Just wow! I am gob smacked he is now in charge of defence! Is someone making this up!
