The Tour de France is the biggest road bike race in pro cycling and at the 2026 Tour de France Stage 20 is the hardest stage of the pro cycling race. But how hard is this stage? To find out Jamie and his mum take their road bikes to the alps to see if they can complete it…

As mum has never ridden a mountain before we helped her out with an e-bike, but does an e-road bike make cycling too easy? Can an e-bike help on hills? We wanted to find out…

  1. Я тоже хочу такую маму. 👍 Моя спортом не занималась никогда. 🤷‍Но как бы было здорово, вот так вместе погонять. Это счастье.👏👏👏

  2. I have both ebike and analogue bike. ebike does not make it easier but makes things slightly faster and can go longer. both offer excellent exercise. well done with max heart rate 160+

  3. That was flippin' brilliant – well done the both of you! (….I did think you were a bit optomistic at the start to think 8 hours would do it, but nevertheless you were both great!).

  4. Incredibly moving ❤❤❤

This is a perfect example of “where there is a will there is a way”. Pedal-assist e-bikes have their place, and I’d challenge anyone to argue otherwise after seeing this.

Cycling is full of tradition, which is great. However a lifelong memory with your loved ones will always take precedence.

Chapeau to Jamie & Mum 🫡

  5. Kudos tu Mum! And great video, These passes are worth of every hard pedal stroke! I did similar ride but from Briançon and first over Galibier and then Iron Cross and back to Briançon over Lautaret…but I had day without clouds…so I got well cooked in Maurienne 🥵🥵🥵. But the views 😮😮😮😮😮. There is even a mountain that looks like head of bear. (Aiguilles d'Arves) Let's watch the 20th etape of TdF! 🎉🎉🎉🎉

  6. You started to say that 1x you never drop the chain, such a bullshit, Campagnolo Ekar proofe the oposit, i just drove on flat smooth tarmac and chain suddenly juped off even when it was in middle of cassette, such a rubbish

  7. It's great to see you and your mom doing this. Be able to do this sport with your family is so great, I do this also with my brother and it's always fun no matter how hard the ride has been.

  8. This is just a brilliant video, and I'm glad you said "you still need to pedal it" which is the essence of a pedal assist e-bike. So glad your Mum wants to come back. Looking forward to seeing that video!
