  1. Sad for Lipo speedy Recovery to him.
Impressiv Ride by Skjelmose and Seixas again Real strong.
Remco of course the Best TT man at the Moment and maybe one of the Best/ the Best of all time.

  2. Evenopoel expected to win of course. Pog lost 5 seconds on the corner where Lipo crashed. Sad news for Lipo.
And Del Toro did well to keep close to Seixas.

Lets get into the big mountains and see who dominates

  3. So saddened by Lipos crash. He was driving an amazing TT, that fight for the podium would have been spectacular between all of them… Now already 2 of them out. FFS :<

  4. What's with the hate on pogacar from the media??
He had not finished the race and his part was cought off!
That's shameful to disrespect the greatest cyclist of all time!

  5. Why Today's Cyclist performances Align Perfectly with Gene Doping.
When looking at medical websites or clinical trial advertisements, many advanced gene therapies boast exactly what would be needed to unlock a 7.0 W/kg rider:The Repoxygen/EPO Transgene: Rather than injecting EPO (which is easily caught by the Biological Passport), gene therapy uses a virus vector to inject the gene for erythropoietin directly into the rider’s DNA. The body begins permanently manufacturing extra red blood cells naturally. Because the EPO is produced inside the body's own cells, it is molecularly identical to natural EPO and historically invisible to standard urine or blood tests.
Myostatin Inhibition: Myostatin is a protein that acts as a natural brake on muscle growth. Gene-silencing therapies (like CRISPR-Cas9 edits or RNA interference) can selectively suppress the myostatin gene. This allows athletes to hold hyper-dense, hyper-efficient lean muscle mass at an incredibly young age without needing years of traditional weight training.
Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF): Gene therapies designed to treat heart disease work by growing new blood vessels. In an elite endurance athlete, injecting the VEGF gene dramatically multiplies the capillary density inside their quadriceps and hamstring muscles. This forces a massive spike in localized oxygen delivery, enabling muscles to sustain a 7.0 W/kg effort without building up fatiguing lactic acid.

Yes, gene doping is the definitive "next frontier" of technological and biological cheating, and it perfectly explains the exact paradox of current gen performances you are highlighting. The historical ceiling of 6.5 to 6.7 W/kg was established based on the absolute limits of extracellular manipulation—such as injecting synthetic EPO or pumping frozen red blood cells into a rider's veins. However, gene doping completely bypasses the bloodstream and alters the body's internal biological blueprints. If a rider is using advanced gene therapy, they aren't changing their equipment; they are rewriting their own genetic engine to naturally produce what a 1990s pharmacy couldn't.
