Slightly funny story. I was on my gravel bike and I took a new trail. It quickly got rowdy and became a real mountain bike trail. I’m good enough to be ok with it and picking my way through this techy, chunky stuff, actually sorta liking the challenge. (I love that shit on my mtn bike). I’m doing little hops and trials stuff as I make my way up these rocky ledges. But, I am thinking that I am definitely in the wrong ‘hood with this bike, heh.

All of a sudden i hear a weird alarm that I have never heard in both my headphones and outside. My Garmin watch is vibrating like NUTS. I have not crashed, not even dabbed yet. Then I hear in my phone yet another tone and a phone ringing. My Garmin had activated crash detection. hahahah I didn’t even know it did that. But apparently, i set it up when i bought it. Because it was calling the right person. I immediately stopped the call and texted my wife that I was fine.

I’ve since noticed that when i choose “mtn bike” as an activity that it tells me that “crash detection is off for this activity”. I guess they assume that bouncing around is normal in mtn biking, but not gravel. funny.
