Alp d’Huez is the most famous 2026 Tour de France climb and a regular in pro cycling races. Tour de France pros will complete Alp d’Huez in around 35 minutes but we’ll be happy if we manage to complete the cycling climb in under 1 hour…

After failing this road bike cycling challenge last year we’ve kitted Ed out with some of the fastest road bike equipment in the world including a Colnago V5Rs climbing bike, Hunt 4AM Limitless carbon road bike wheels, DMT shoes just like Tadej Pogacar, Goodyear road bike tires and an Abus helmet which is used in the Tour de France peloton.

  1. Shoutout to the riders in blue, Cykelnerven. They ride several Tour summits every year to save up money for helping people with Sclerosis. I think I recognized a colleague of mine in the crowd.

  2. Definitely the Stelvio Pass (Passo dello Stelvio) in the Italian Alps. The iconic climb from Prato allo Stelvio is 24.3 km long with an average gradient of 7.4% and 48 legendary hairpin turns leading to the 2,757 m summit. Let's gooooooo!!

  3. Many years ago, the Milk Race went through the Chilterns, so I chose a steep and long hill to watch and film them. Waste of time, they went past in a flash. I could not BELIEVE it!

  4. 21c is quite warm? For who? Eskimos? That's 69F, which is amazing cycling weather. And you're squirting water on him like it's 35C! Give me a break, you Brits will winge about anything.
Also, him losing a few kilos would have done him much better than that bike.
