It’s ” Saddle Sore Saturday”, and today the British winter decided to play hardball. With the temperature sitting at a crisp 3°C (37.4°F), I had to gear up with seven layers just to stand a chance against the biting wind.
This shift was all about the £4.00 Quest Bonus, but between the freezing conditions and a few “plums at risk” moments, things didn’t exactly go to plan. You’ll see the gear-up process, some unexpected helicopter action, and the honest reality of what it’s like delivering in the cold when the mission starts to slip away.
I’m still focused on rebuilding my fitness consistently after last year’s heart attack. That means knowing when to push and when to call it a day—even if it means a “Mission Failed” at the end of the shift.
