I have that bottle cage and love it. I’ve had bottles of wine in it but my favorite was when I biked to the office and someone came by to drop off a bottle of champagne as a thank you and I stuck it right in the bike.

Looney bin comment made me laugh. That cage is underrated for non-water duties, I’ve hauled everything from growlers to a jar of hot sauce in mine on longer rides. The riskiest part isn’t the wine breaking, it’s the cork situation if you hit a bump wrong, or worse, the glass shifting and rubbing a hole through the bottle. A few years back I tried bringing a bottle home from a vineyard in a backpack and learned that lesson the hard way, now the bike gets the job.
