      A professional cyclist giving away a TDF stage to a competitor from another team? I doubt it. These guys are born and bred to win – especially on the biggest stage of them all. It also undermines Remco's dominance today.

      What could have been a UAE 1/2/3 didn’t work out sadly del torro didn’t quite have enough at the end to get that win. A great political move from pog to come 2nd in an eventful day after vinegar stroke hit the deck. Remco winning makes no difference at least he’s happy for today

      Everybody wants to win, but not like this, with your greatest rival taken to hospital. Tadej could take Remco in any sprint any day, but not today; he did not even get out of the saddle…

      Love to see those pictures of Del Toro congratulating Remco on his win. There seems to be so much respect and admiration in the peloton these days and it's great to see the sportsmanship

      feel super bad for Jonas. but this was super classy from Pogi. and at the same time chapeau to Remco for a top mountain stage. overall, solid day for UAE, albeit with a sombre feeling.

      Pretty sure that Pog accelerated (down the mountain) at the point that Ayuso dropped from the group. Implies that team competition was a factor – so another reason for nursing del Torro (Yates being up the road).

      Class act from Pogacar to stay with Del Toro to help him win the white jersey and then not forcing the sprint vs Remco. Remco was out of his saddle giving it his all and Pog stuck to him while seated for the past few seconds. People trying to suggest Pog did not gifted the stage are laughable.

      bloody doping control at between 2 and 4am is totally unfair, as it would never happen to a rider out of the top 3. So disruptive…. idiots of the UCI rules.

      FYI: The Star Tadej Pogačar and Jonas Vingegaard were woken up in the middle of the night for a doping test ahead of Stage 15 of the Tour de France.

      "This shows a complete lack of respect for the cyclists," says American rider Matteo Jorgenson.

      The International Testing Agency (ITA) conducted the checks at the hotels prior to Sunday's mountain stage. Dane Jonas Vingegaard—currently second overall—was woken at 2:00 a.m., while race leader Pogačar was visited at 5:00 a.m.

      "I got four hours of sleep last night, but I had a very nice, long morning. I couldn't get back to sleep," Pogačar told *Le Parisien*.

      Matteo Jorgenson, a teammate of Vingegaard, reacted strongly to the late-night test:

      "Recovery is extremely important between the Tour's toughest mountain stages. And then you get woken up at two in the morning. It really makes me furious," Jorgenson said, according to AFP.
