Hi team!!! I have installed advent x on my surly cross check. Followed the Manuel and online video eg correct b tension using the tool, aligning small and large cog. When I start putting on tension via the shifter adjustment barrel it takes maybe 3 full turns before it will jump in the first cog, then when I keep screwing tension on the cable so it can reach the biggest cog, eventually I have tension to reach the large cog but then it stops sitting in the small cog when the shifter button is fully depressed and jumps around.Am I doing something wrong, I have been fiddling for hours, re attaching the shifter cable ..?? Please help

Indexing help 🙁

maybe be too long chain, remove mo muna yung chain and index yung shifting na walang kadena para mas accurate yung pag adjust.

  2. Is there enough tension on the cable to begin with? To me if you need to screw it three turns before it jumps from the smallest to the next one indicates there is not enough tension on the chain.

Undo the pinch bolt, hold the cable tight at the end and click up and down through all the gears to make sure it’s not getting caught up anywhere. Then make sure you shift it to the highest gear before tensioning the cable and doing up the pinch bolt.

So did you also install an Microshift Advent X shifter? Because it does not work with other shifters like SRAM or Shimano. It has a different pull ratio.
