This 30-minute film is a personal, family, and community story about a place where a bicycle becomes more than just a means of transport.
Platt Fields Bike Hub is a community bike workshop in the heart of Manchester – located in Platt Fields Park – that has, for years, attracted enthusiasts, activists, and everyday residents.

In the film, I talk with my brothers, Zygmunt and Hubert Wysocki, as well as Andy Boardman and Aless Tsitsimpis – mechanics, educators, and people who have made bikes their life and mission.

➡️ Most of the time is spent with Zygmunt, who has co-created this space since 2013 and shares stories about its origins, philosophy, and daily challenges.
➡️ We also talk about our childhood and how bikes brought us together as brothers – long before we dreamed of running our own workshops.
➡️ We show how the Tool Club works – a free Tuesday repair session where anyone can learn to fix their own bike.

This is a film about passion, cooperation, and helping others.
About how important it is to share knowledge and offer support – no matter where you are in the world.

🌍 Although Platt Fields Bike Hub operates in the UK, it shares a lot with what we do in Poland through dr Albin – the same values, same energy, and the same drive to spread good things.
