Faulty Grail CF 7?

Hey everyone,

I Just unboxed and assembled my brand new Canyon Grail CF 7 with mechanical Shimano GRX RX820 (2×12 speed), but I've run into a frustrating issue before my first ride.

Both the left and right shifter levers are completely "dead" and silent. When I push the large or small levers on either side, there is absolutely zero mechanical resistance. The levers just swing freely inwards without catching anything.

Can something have happened during shipping when Canyon packed the handlebars?
I've already contacted Canyon support, but since it's the weekend, I'm hoping someone here has experienced this and knows a quick fix.
