Hello, I have a 9v XTR m952 rear derailleur with a medium cage (67mm between the pulley wheels). Will it work with a triple chainring? The guy who sold me the derailleur told me that it was mounted on a bike with an XTR triple chainring of the same series.

It depends on the chainrings on the crankset. The spec sheet of the rd will say how many total teeth difference it can take up. The difference between big and small chainring gets added to the difference between big and small cassette cogs. There will also be a max tooth count allowed for the cassette that has to do with the diameter of the cassette.
