This isn’t a Canyon hate post—quite the opposite.
I’ve owned my Canyon Endurance CF 2022 for several years and, mechanically, it’s been almost perfect. The frame, bearings and components have been flawless with only normal maintenance. I expect to keep riding it for many more years.
The only disappointment has been the paint.
The fork and rear triangle have faded so much that the bike now looks like it has two different colors.
I contacted Canyon because I didn’t think this level of fading was normal. They explained that paint discoloration is generally caused by external factors (sunlight, sweat, cleaning products, etc.) and isn’t covered by warranty. I asked them to inspect the bike in person, and to their credit they agreed.
After the inspection, however, the conclusion was exactly the same: external factors, no warranty.
It reminded me of buying an umbrella and then being told that using it in the rain isn’t covered because rain is an external factor.
I understand paint is exposed to the elements—that’s what bicycles are made for. My issue isn’t really the warranty decision; it’s that such a fantastic bike can end up looking like this after just a few years.
The cycling community is small, and people constantly ask about each other’s bikes. The first thing they notice isn’t how well it rides—they notice the faded paint. I think that hurts Canyon’s image far more than replacing a few painted parts ever would.
Has anyone else experienced this with a Canyon? If so, what model and color, and how did Canyon handle your case?

Unfortunately, this kind of color doesn’t age well
Everything red or close to red will end “pink”
Even my mother’s car which was red show some discoloration after a few years (Renault Clio)
was it exposed to sun light most of the time? like did you leave it outside?
did u park the bike outside all the time, rain or shine when not in use ?
It is common amongst all the brands that you’d be lucky for a warranty on paint!! About the only time you will get replacement is if paint will not bond to the carbon and this occurs more than they’d admit but all brands have it happen!
