The audio on this is weird. I assume it is a dubbing of Contador's commentary on Spanish. That is not made clear.

Shame, should have left with Contadors voice as you have subtitles anyhow. Dubbed voice does not suit him.

Did this bike have a motor in it like his old one?
I rode it in 2018 on my 1996 Saracen Mountain Bike (I was in a Motorhome, staying in Bourg d'Oisins). There are certainly steeper climbs in England but I was just unprepared for the length of the climb.
I was basically winching myself up for about an hour and a half straight. You get to Huez and your brain tells you "well that must be it" but you look up and see the Ski lodges in the clouds and realise there are a few tough kilometers to go.
In all honesty it was a horrible climb. A VERY busy road with plenty of HGV Trucks in both directions, even at 7am. You need to time your approach to the bends so they don't coincide with a truck, because the take a wide line.

The Alpe D’Huez triathlon naturally features this climb on the bike leg. Strongly recommend the triathlon as an epic event for any triathletes reading these comments. You won’t regret it!
