  1. Quite a short stage by Tour de France standards. That average speed looks largely like the result of a coordinated peloton effort on a relatively flat course, with several sprint teams sharing the workload.

  2. Another stage that was 150 kms too long. Think of all the fuel used by the publicity caravan, the support teams, the motorbikes and the officials' cars covering those completely unnecessary kms'. It's VERY irresponsible. JP, Cheltenham.
