Very lightweight (18 lbs), always well maintained, and ready to ride. The chain was recently replaced and has only about 300 km on it.
Several upgrades have been added over the years:
Shimano 105 brake calipers
Ultegra 11–28 cassette
Superteam 50 mm carbon wheels
Continental GP5000 25 mm tires
RideNow TPU inner tubes
Ultegra R8000 pedals
Im thinking about giving 1700$cad…

No thats too much. Sould be sub 1000CAD. This bike cost new a lot less than what this seller is asking.
The seller is getting a great deal. $1600 for a new Allez e5 with disc brakes
Way too much! At that price you can likely find a brand new 105 equipped bike. Other people’s upgrades add no value imo for example you list the tires as a + and the first thing I would be doing is swapping them out for 28s
No no no way. That’s way too much. It’s aluminium with rim brakes. Without the upgrades, stock, that would be in the 500-600 CAD range today, for context it was 1350 USD at launch.
Disc only for that price. This is a 500 dollar bike.
It’s a nice bike….like $650 nice.
There is not a good matchup in the Specialized lineup today. They have 8, 10, 12 speed Allezs, no 11 speed. From 1.5k to 2.5k CAD.
Retail in [2019 for a Specialized Allez Elite was 1650 CAD](https://www.specialized.com/ca/en/allez-elite/p/159280?color=240238-159280). The Superteam wheels can be had for $C 700. The rest of the changes are minor but good to very good choices.
* TPU tubes x2, $C 30
* GP5k tube tires x2, $C 200
* Pedals $C 200
I would have a hard time valuing those changes at more than 100-150 used. The cassette is not interesting, a few grams as the other person mentioned.
The total build cost is around 2500. Maybe a little less if they were able to shop around for deals. If the changes were picked up as used then their cost could be under 2k. Their asking price of 2k puts the bike at a 20% discount on the build. That is too close to cost for me. I would be interested in the 1.5k to 1.7k range.
Just for comparison. I recently bought a 2019 Look 785 Huez RS with a dura ace di2 groupset in very good condition for a similar price.
$2k is too high. This bike is 7 years old and has rim brakes. $1500 maybe.
For that kind of money there are carbon or steel options that would be a much smoother ride.
