    Internal hub clicking noises


    I've just popped a newer inner tube on, and suddenly my hub wheel makes this loud clicking sound when spun. Can feel some resistance too. Certainly don't want to ride the wheel doing this.

    Any clues as to what happened and how it could be fixed?

      I think that’s normal, hub gears without the indicator chain behave weirdly. Reinstall the wheel, set the indicator chain correctly – that should fix it.

      Don’t spin it without the shifter installed as the gearing can be out of sync.
