  1. Patrick in the the Paul Bettany role will be the highlight of the year. Lets get that hair bet going on boys through the TDFF and then hair can go back to normal at the Vuelta.

  2. Idea could be for teams to have at least 2 riders from their nation of origin, especially nation-state team. It will balance the teams and make them more appealing in their home countries.

  3. Itโ€™s too bad del Toro was off. Hopefully heโ€™s not sick for multiple days. It was interesting to watch Vingegaard pulling everyone up the climb then getting passed. It was kind of fun to see Remco getting dropped then blowing past everyone at the end.

  4. I hope pogi retires soon – i donโ€˜t even dislike him and for me he is the best to ever do it, but come on. Knowing as soon as it goes uphill who will is boring as shit. At least today the fight behind was nice.

  5. Love carapaz man got cojones. Tadej actually struggled his shoulders rocked and he couldn't extend gap. He also didn't have radio and kept looking back so that shows you ge was struggling. Having memories of Jonas Pippin him couple years back. Heat and team weakness has made Jonas trying double much harder. He will do better in alps kids sitting on him was shameless the remco stuff is hysterical lol. Ive become huge jonas fan guys got my exact cycling tastes. Ge will make brilliant ds he has to do it hes from healthy generation hes like tadej got such class, its like federer and nadal, . Jonas asked about riders based on characteristics and oh man two for Fabian including brain which he had me there tadej would never let three groups go up road to leapfrog from one to next because otherwise hes isolated and wont get cooperating. He was so intelligent spoke 6 language and then it was contador and Gilbert….cmon jonas ive been tadej fan since the Amgen, slove ia in mountain itt over prime primos year before planche dbf. I disagree with benji tadej was always flying he never won gc without multiple stages. Jonas seems while tired to be in good place probably because he enjoyed giro. I found him prickly in years past hes at ease off bike nice to see. He's done something nobody else will ever do beat pogacar and one year convincingly.
Jonas is the smart cyclist in peloton he races with brain always and always had. Tadej really rounded out because of him like the nadal federer thing again we are spoiled

  6. All the talk about Pog making GC boring but can we acknowledge how washed KOM is.

Just a few years ago it was interesting guys like Bouwman or Teuns popping up to win or challenge.

Now every single GT the debate is will it be the runaway GC winner taking it or will it be an alternate of Carapaz/Ciccone who should probably just be 7th GC

  7. Remco had a great stage in my
opinion. He showed great personality and fight. I think he was pacing the group behind Pogacar (because nobody else could pull like him) and paid for the effort on the next climb but he didnโ€™t give up like we have seen in the past and still finished 2nd. I was impressed by him!

  8. First time not really watching the tour. I just dont seem to care. Well maybe its better, you can do something else than watch 6h cycling :). Still leaving you guys a like and a comment!

  9. I wouldโ€™ve loved to see that death pull of Prodhomme with Seixas actually on his wheel! and to see the second group around Vingegaard work together better and try to get Pogacar back – without all that double leader strategy nonsense they mightโ€™ve been able to catch him (with Evenepoel and Skjelmose pulling more for example) and make it even more exciting! I also got to sayโ€ฆ imagine a GC this year without the alien and Jonas, it would be soo interesting! I also wish I wouldโ€™ve picked Kanter for a cheap sprinter option for me fantasy team ๐Ÿซข

  10. Great stage! Loving the battle for podium, green, and white this year. Enjoyed watching Lipowitz last year but he's acting pretty selfishly this year I think. Being a co-leader means riding your own race, not actively sabotaging your teammate. I can appreciate its a complex situation though.

  11. Okay I don't get it, red bull has 2 leaders, isn't it a good taktik for one to attack so the other one gets a free ride? (If this even was an attack, we never saw how the small gap came to be). And also how is it lippos fault that remco gets dropped?

  12. The Tour parcour was designed for Pogi to win. Reduce the number of riders per team and maybe we might see something different than UAE dominating. But teams choose to support or not their number 1. Decathlon isn't serious about Seixas when they brought a sprint train for Olav. Results speak for themselves.

  13. UAE rides hard because they want two things: crush all opposition and Pogi wants to beat Jonas by a bigger margin than Jonas beat him in 2023. When UAE ride hard everyone is in the limit while he is cruising.

  14. can someone please explain why the world is shooting massive hate at UAE over yesterday? they did nothing through the sprint point at 31.8k and break formation which was solidified somewhere between 40 and 45k. they controlled from 45k to 70k when ineos and lidl-trek decided to wake up from their naps and start trying to win a stage. 25 maybe 30k is the extent of UAEโ€™s work and the cycling world is freaking out, this is just confusing

  15. I listened to an interview with Lipowitz after the stage. It sounded like that once he heard over the radio that Remco had been dropped he stopped pulling and just sat on.

Itโ€™s also interesting how different the discussion is in the German media compared to the rest. The general consensus here seems to be that Lipowitz should have kept pulling to put more time into Del Toro instead of waiting. Of course, the German media are going to be pretty biased, I imagine itโ€™s similar with the Belgian press regarding Remco.

Still, this Tour so far has been a good example to me of why dual leadership strategies often donโ€™t work very well. I really canโ€™t imagine either Remco or Lipowitz being particularly happy with the situation.

  16. The reason UAE are riding this way is simply that Tadej is a bit of a dick. Heโ€™s not an asshole, just a bit of a dick. Everyone tells him heโ€™s the best rider of all time and he knows it yet Visma wiped the floor with him twice. He was a bit of a dick before 2022 when he got humbled, he put in the work to start winning again and heโ€™s been a bit of a dick since 2024.

  17. legend says that if you dye your hair pogacar color then you will add 100 watts to your FTP ๐Ÿ‘€

hope they do this as the punishment lol

  18. On the broadcast I was watching they were discussing, that with UAE keeping the gap under 1 minute than support cars weren't allowed through. The riders in the break only had roadside and natural support. Can't remember the exact term they used, but UAE was blowing up the break.

  19. Patrick salty as F UAE are riding to catch the break like Visma didn't spend 3 weeks being greedy in Italy. I remember all the breaks they insisted on keeping at 1 min and now it's not ok? Ok pal

  20. Just want to point out that there are thousands of hair-bleaching tutorials are here on YouTube. And purple shampoo can help keep it that Marilyn Monroe platinum tone. ๐Ÿคฉ

  21. Eurosport explained the reason behind the "chalk" on the road: it's supposedly being put their by the organizers so the asphalt doesn't get too sticky when it heats up

  22. The discussion about UAE being "too greedy" on stageslike this is just down to Pogacar being this good. The only reason UAE are targeting this stage (Pog confirmed in his post-race intervew that they did target this months ago) is that Pog is just so strong that they know they will be able to win this stage 99 times out of a 100 if thy control the break.

No team would fuck themselves up all day on a hard stage like this for a 20 or 30% chance at a stage win, but if you have the GOAT that you know will dust everyone given a chance, then it makes pefect sense.

I would also chalk it up (no pun intended) to bad stage design: if you want this to be a medium mountain break away battle with all the second tier French riders going HAM on Bastille day, then maybe don't put in 3800 altitude meters if half of them would do and make this stage a lot less interesting to target even for Pog

  23. Fan of the pod since its inception and while I donโ€™t agree with all opinions , definitely gives me food for thought aplenty . On this occasion however, I completely disagree with Patrick . Itโ€™s day 10 of the Tour and the GC leader should take time wherever possible (including bonus seconds ) . What if there is a bad day / puncture / crash on the Galibier and 30-40 seconds prove crucial ? Pog was able to ride defensively in the last week of the 2025 tour because he had built up a buffer .
